In simpler terms, a solicitation is a process by which a government or private entity invites another organization, company, or entity to work for it. The entity publishes the details of the work either on its website or in local and national newspapers, and individuals or organizations interested in working for the entity submit a bid. The organization found suitable for the work based on bid price, completion days, and quality is awarded the contract. Organizations or individuals who regularly participate in tenders are more likely to be interested in participating in government tenders in India, as security of payment is always an important factor that is not a problem with government agencies.
